about
Originally intended as the intro track for a concept album about a book that when read opened up your mind to endless possibilities called "How to Gain Infinite Knowledge and Walk Backward Through Time."
Unfortunately that album concept was pushed back for a later point in my life and this track was used, in a much shorter version, for one of the Electronic Saviors compilations.
Now here it is in it's full-length form complete with longer verses and a more guitar-centric mix. Can also be found on the upcoming full-length album "Brother Bones".
Enjoy!
lyrics
As we're standing on the edge of something new
The message comes from afar
The horizon of an age comes into view
A lesson of who we are
In the pages of a book designed by man
The answer comes from within
But deciding on the fate of everyone
Is nothing short of a sin
All the mysteries will unfold
All the tragedies and memories that we know
The TV divinities tell lies about the eternity of life
As we're staring at the face of someone new
With eyes as black as the night
Keeping all the things we've come to save for you
Somewhere
In denial of a future way of life
We've hidden deep down inside
All the answers to the questions of the youth
That tell us if we'll survive
All the mysteries will unfold
All the tragedies and memories that we know
The TV divinities tell lies about the eternity of life
As we're standing at the edge of what we knew
A wisdom fell from the stars
As the vision of an age comes into view
We still don't know who we are
But the pages of a book designed by man
Are written words from the heart
And deciding on the fate of everyone
Will only keep us apart
all the mysteries of the world
All the tragedies of the world
All the mysteries of the world
All the mysteries will unfold

Saw Kanga last night in Houston , instantly was entranced by her sound , sucked me into the Kangakult vortex , so glad I got to see her live , should have looked into her sooner as Gary Numan was so supportive of her on the Revolution tour , oh now it’s time to catch up and get further involved Callum Gray

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
